Meet Haley

Haley Indorato is an artist obsessed with oil painting. She is inspired by the history and legacy of painting as well as everyday life. Her work is often concerned with truth and reality. To her, the constructed nature of a painting combined with expressive mark making can get at more truth about being human than any other medium.

Haley Indorato was born and raised in Rochester, NY. She received her BFA in Studio Art from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2022. She has exhibited work across New York state in Rochester, Buffalo, and New York City. In Rochester, she participated in many grassroots arts groups, teaching and exhibiting in local galleries. She has been selected for competitive juried exhibitions as well including Made in NY at the Schweinfurth Art Center, and the competitive 68th and 69th Finger Lakes Show at the Memorial Art Gallery. She has her first major institutional solo exhibition at the Schweinfurth Art Center from May 30th-July 11th.

She is entering her year of the MFA program at University of Georgia where she teaches Drawing 1 and Intro Painting Classes. She has started to exhibit around Georgia in places like Augusta and Athens where she recently won a juror award at the gallery, ATHICA and participated in the juried exhibition at the Lyndon House.
